Ranking Golf’s Greatest Players Across Eras

The GOAT Score Leaderboard presents a structured career ranking system designed to compare the greatest players in golf history across different generations. The model evaluates performance in Majors, flagship tournaments, season finales, and defining team competitions such as the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup.

Legendary players from earlier eras are fully integrated alongside modern-era champions, ensuring that historical dominance and long-term influence are assessed using the same transparent criteria. All Ryder Cup players up to and including 2025 are incorporated in the model, while Presidents Cup participants from 2026 are explicitly included as part of the evolving competitive landscape.

From this point forward, the GOAT Score will continue to expand through verified participation in the Ryder Cup and the Presidents Cup, ensuring the leaderboard remains current, authoritative, and historically complete.

By applying identical benchmarks to icons of the past and elite competitors of today, the GOAT Score delivers a data-driven overview of sustained excellence, competitive relevance, and true golf legacy. The full scoring framework is detailed on the GOAT Score methodology page, while defining victories and historic titles are preserved in the Trophy Hall. Tournament records and competitive structures are aligned with official governing bodies such as the PGA Tour, ensuring long-term accuracy and credibility.
